People

We loved Blexbolex's last spectacular offering - Seasons - and here is another winner.

A fisherman and a fishmonger, a slave and a goddess, a princess and a werewolf ...Real, mythical and imaginary people come together in this stunning picture book. Each figure is juxtaposed with another on the opposite page. These relationships are often funny and surprising; sometimes the connection is obvious, other times it takes a bit of thinking.

The Invention of Hugo Cabret

The best-selling and, quite honestly, brilliant book The Invention of Hugo Cabret, by Brian Selznick, has been made into a major motion picture by Martin Scorsese. Hugo is released on the 12th of January and you can check The Sun Theatre website for details.

Click here to watch the preview, or look at it on the Younger Sun blog here.

Orphan, clock keeper and thief, Hugo lives in the walls of a busy Paris train station, where his survival depends on secrets and anonymity. But when his world suddenly interlocks with an eccentric, bookish girl and a bitter old man who runs a toy booth in the station, Hugo's undercover life, and his most precious secret, are put in jeopardy. A cryptic drawing, a treasured notebook, a stolen key, a mechanical man and a hidden message from Hugo's dead father form the backbone of this intricate, tender and spellbinding mystery.
